BUSH’S ANTI-MISSILE DEFENSE
President Bush’s proposal to build an anti-missile defense base in the backyard of Russia (in Poland and the Czech Republic) is intended to reduce the threats posed by ICBMs from Iran and other nations in the Middle East. As you can imagine, Russia is vehemently opposed to this proposal. Today, some nineteen countries have ballistic missile capabilities, eight of them with nuclear weapons, and many others probably on the way. Experts believe that Iran and North Korea are on the verge of developing nuclear-tipped ICBMs. While I recognize the obvious threats posed by Iran and North Korea, I assure you that in the long run, America, China, and Russia are themselves greater threats to the world where their nuclear arsenals are concerned. These nations are spending billions of dollars to amass nukes that could destroy the world ten times over:
Monday July 9, 2007:
According to Investors Business Daily Newspaper (Issues & Insights), Russia and China are currently building nukes that could incinerate America in the event of war. Russia’s Topol Missile (range 6,500 miles) is aimed directly at the U.S. China’s CSSX-10 Missile, with a range of 8,500 miles, can conveniently strike America’s West Coast. Truly, America does have adversaries, and therefore America needs Christ desperately.
Perhaps you consider these things I’m saying to be silly, and wonder why you or your government should care about them. To some, all that I have been saying may be a lot of hot air, but not so to those privileged with the eyes to see and ears to hear the deep truths of God. Christ is the Creator of all things, powers, and authorities. He is the Lord over all nations. All things were created by Him and for Him. In Him everything exists, and all things have their being (see Colossians 2). He knows all things; nothing is hidden from Him.
By God’s providence, He reveals important information that men, in their very best intellect, strength, or ingenuity can never fathom. It is by Jesus Christ that I have seen and heard all these things, so that you may believe that He is the Lord who can save you from the wrath to come. He is sovereign over all things, even terrorism. He knows all events, from the beginning to the end, and He has them under His control, so much so that He can make all things work out well for the good of those who love Him, and turn bad things, even terrorism, into punishment for those who despise Him.
Those who allow Christ to rule and reign in their lives are the true children of God. They are not children of God because they are religious. They are children of God because Christ redeemed them by His blood from this world of sin, iniquity, and death. Prior to their redemption, they were Muslims (like I was), Hindus, atheists, etc. None of them, absolutely none of them, was a child of God by right, birth, tradition, custom, or nationality. All were converted because they personally confessed the name of Jesus. They used to be part of the kingdoms of this world, but Christ redeemed them unto God, one life at a time, to be a kingdom of priests, to rule and reign in the world (see Revelation 5:10). Empowered by the Holy Spirit, their mission is to recover all things— social, economic, and political from the kingdom of darkness.
As priests of God in government, business, and other arenas of life, they are to bring the Kingdom of Light to bear over the kingdom of darkness— casting out devils and overthrowing the powers of darkness in order to make the world a better place for us all. Equipped with privileged information and the uncommon wisdom of God, they are to influence life in governments, businesses, and communities the world over, establishing God’s government in their various circles of influence and aspects of life. For example, Elisha was the seer through whom God exposed the war strategies of Syria— a staunch enemy of Israel. Listen to this interesting conversation between the king of Syria and his cabinet members:
2Kings 6:8-12: Once when the king of Syria [Israel’s enemy] was warring against Israel, he took counsel with his servants, saying, “At such and such a place shall be my camp.” But the man of God [the prophet Elisha] sent word to the king of Israel, “Beware that you do not pass this place, for the Syrians are going down there.” And the king of Israel sent to the place of which the man of God [the prophet Elisha] told him. Thus he used to warn him [the King of Israel], so that he saved himself there more than once or twice. And the mind of the king of Syria was greatly troubled because of this thing; and he called his servants and said to them, “Will you not show me who of us is for the king of Israel?” And one of his servants said, “None, my lord, O king; but Elisha, the prophet who is in Israel, tells the king of Israel the words that you speak in your bedchamber [in secret]. (RSV)
Like Elisha, I enjoy the privilege of seeing and hearing deep, secret conversations that can help expose the plans of terrorists and literally turn a nation’s fate around. Like the prophet Elisha (see 2 Kings 6), I (and many others) are also called to righteously influence the social, economic, and political aspects of life in the nations in these end-times. As Elisha was prompted to relay these secrets to the king of Israel, I was also prompted to send a message to President Bush. Now I am compelled to speak directly to the American people through the pages of this book, that the people may see what I see and hear what I hear and return to God. Hopefully, we can thus avert these looming disasters.
