A NUCLEAR ATTACK ON AMERICA
A vision from the LORD: 5:52 a.m. February 1, 2003, Atlanta USA.
I was up till 2:30 a.m. that particular night, but as soon as I got into bed, I felt an urge to pray. Because I did not immediately know what to pray about, I simply began to pray in the spirit (praying in tongues). That night my wife was spending the night at her sister’s house, so I called her to join me in prayer. We prayed together on the phone for about an hour or so. Afterward, I went to bed. It was then that I saw this vision:
I saw war, and many missile-launching fighter jets, and I saw America rise up to the task, destroying the enemy aircraft and other targets. Then I saw another war, deadlier than the first. This time it was in America. I saw many people running toward the South. This war was much more intense than the first. I saw what appeared to be red-hot fire. There was much pandemonium, and people ran toward a safe place. This safe place was a large basement belonging to the apostolic and prophetic gathering called the Church. The place was highlighted as a place of refuge for anyone who chose to come. There was so much horror, and people were so fearful that some even attempted to run out from the place of refuge, but I and some others stood at the gate and ministered to the people, reassuring them that God’s grace was sufficient for them.
I found it peculiar that we had just enough time to help the people get to safety, away from the view of the enemy aircraft hovering all over the place. I remember telling the people that they would be shot at (by the hovering aircraft) if they left the place of refuge. I found it interesting that the enemy aircraft could not penetrate the place of refuge. I also noticed that anyone who stepped out of the safety provided by the place of refuge fell victim to the enemy aircraft. Somehow, in this vision, I was also reminding the people that this war had been prophetically revealed to me long before it began, and I warned many people to take cover at the place of refuge, because it was their only hope.
I woke up from the vision and prayed Psalm 91 over America. I was on my way to the office that particular afternoon of February 2, 2003, when I heard the tragic news of the crash of the Shuttle Columbia. Even though I wrote these visions down, it was not until the space shuttle had the accident that I began to pay more careful attention to them.
Applicable scriptures include:
Psalm 64:7: But God will shoot his arrow [bomb, missile] at them; they will be wounded suddenly. (RSV)
Proverbs 6:15-19: Therefore calamity will come upon him suddenly; in a moment he will be broken beyond healing. (RSV)
Proverbs 29:1: He who is often reproved [corrected], yet stiffens his neck [stubborn] will suddenly be broken [destroyed] beyond healing. (RSV)
The word south in the narrative does not necessarily indicate a geographical location or physical direction. South, by the Holy Spirit, often indicates sin, corruption, deception, and worldliness:
Joshua 10:40: So Joshua smote all the country of the hills, and of the south, and of the vale, and of the springs, and all their kings: he left none remaining, but utterly destroyed all that breathed, as the LORD God of Israel commanded.
One cannot continue to live in sin and expect the grace of God to abound(see Romans 6:1). According to the Word of God, sinful people and nations will be judged and devastated. I know that some will suggest that God, by His loving character and nature, cannot possibly do all these devastating things the Bible asserts. But I want to re-affirm that God is love, and by character and nature, He is also a just God. He has no choice but to judge our sins, even though, in His mercy, He does not even judge us as much as our sins merit (see Psalm 103:10).
One thing I find quite amazing about the love of God is that, before the judgment of our sins and corruptions, God Himself provides us with a way of escape by announcing the impending judgment way ahead of time, so as to give us an opportunity to repent and be forgiven. Therefore, the Lord is announcing this impending judgment on America ahead of its time, so that America can repent and be forgiven.
As you may have observed in the preceding narrative, God has provided America with a way of escape— a place of refuge. The “Place of Refuge,” as it was called in the vision, is what the Bible calls a city of refuge. Cities of refuge are established to provide protection and hope to a repentant sinner who sincerely recognizes his sin, admits his guilt, regrets his actions, asks for forgiveness, and seeks God’s loving presence appropriately.
